| Google's online word processor... |
Well, my good friends at Google (ok, they don't know me at all ;) have bought up a piece of the action - an online word processor called upstartle.com
This is more or less the way of the future, and Google has the headstart on Microsoft (let's not get into the history of this, but suffice it to say... Microsoft had the real headstart, but they missed the boat thus far ;)
I can see online applications and streaming applications to be the way of the future - I mean who has time for all of this updating, and upgrading and crap?
Wow... you've gotta love the innovation!! |

| Google calendar in the works... |
Now, I have been nagging and whining like a small child for a while now... needing a calendar in GMail (though I am certainly not alone on this request).
Looks beautiful... a thing of wonder even.
Open standards, indexed, searchable, all on a webpage.
Look out Microsoft :)
Check out the screen shots on the link above!! |

| Gmail for domains and business... |
This is the announcement that I have been waiting for... the Googleheads are looking at selling this as a service to business (or at least one would expect that they would plan to charge for this service).
I am awaiting the release of an open standards calendar, that would hook into Google Desktop, and allow for inviting people to meetings across domains and mail systems.
Google has not let me down thus far, so I am counting on them to pull through with the calendar next :)
p.s. Thanks for the delete button guys, now where's the keyboard shortcut.

| Gmail and Google Talk |
I was just checking my gmail this afternoon when I noticed a new choice under "starred" called "chats"
I checked it out, and voila - there I can store all of my chat histories - where I can search them all using the same GMail interface.
Now THAT is slick.
Now Google - where is that keyboard shortcut that I ordered? I want to delete my messages without my mouse ;) |
